ANCHOR CHAIN

SLAC Cable

Introduction:

Stud link anchor chain cable is abbreviated to SLAC cable. This chain is flush butt welded. It is widely used to connect ship body and anchor. The common grades of this chain are grade 2 and grade 3. Previously, there is grade 1 anchor chain, but it is kicked out due to very low proof load and breaking load. We can supply a wide range of chain diameter from 12.5mm to 162mm. The length of chain can be customized by request. Excepting SLAC cable, we also supply other anchor chains.

When Should Replace Anchor Chain:

Age: Even if the anchor chain appears to be in good condition, it should be replaced after a certain period of time. The exact lifespan of an anchor chain can vary depending on the type and quality of the chain, as well as the conditions it has been exposed to.

It's important to conduct regular inspections of the anchor chain to identify any signs of wear or damage. If any issues are identified, the chain should be replaced promptly to ensure safe and reliable operation.
