Introduction:

Counterweights used to open or close intake or exhaust or decompression vents in central HVAC applications.

When the indoor pressure increases, the vanes of the pressure release damper automatically rise by releasing the excess pressure in the chamber, when the pressure drops to the normal level, the vanes close due to gravity or counterweight.
