MARINE BOLLARD

GBT554-1996 Marine Double Bollard Type B

Description:

The double bollard type B is designed to have two horns or protrusions, one on each side of the central cylinder, which helps in securing the mooring ropes or cables. The bollard is typically made of cast iron or cast steel and is designed to withstand the high stresses and loads that are exerted on it during mooring operations.

The standard defines the dimensions, materials, and manufacturing process for the double bollard type B. It also specifies the load-bearing capacity, durability, and corrosion resistance of the bollard. The standard also provides guidelines for the installation and maintenance of the bollard.
